The mission of the catholic church is to give to the poor, save the rich, visit and heal the sick, take care of the orphan and widows, to heal and bring freedom to the captive, prisoners, to evangelize and cathechize, to perform weddings and funerals, to administer baptism, confirmation, penance, extreem onction, to administer the euchariste and holy orders, to give pastoral counselling, form faithfull organizations, to bless and pray for the living and the dead, to send missionaries to undevelopped countries. The catholic church as civilized nations, even the utmost barbaric ones, formed, universities, founded hospitals, abolished slavery, etc... .
